India's fuel demand rose 0.4 per cent in Dec compared with identical month last year, knowledge from the rock oil designing and Analysis Cell (PPAC) of the oil ministry showed on Tuesday.

Consumption of fuel, a proxy for oil demand, totalled 1.84 large integer tonnes in Dec. Sales of petrol, were 4.1 per cent higher from a year earlier at 28.2 hundred thousand tonnes, whereas diesel sales inflated 1.6 per cent from identical amount last year.
